(2 stars)Works - sometimes
At first it worked, later sometimes and now hardly. I think the driver has trouble coping with the W10 updates.

(2 stars)Doesn't work with current Linux kernels
The datasheet says this works with Linux kernels up to 3.5.0. But the current version of Ubuntu uses 4.15.0. Is there a driver version that will work with current releases of Ubuntu? Strangely, it seems to work fine with Linxux Mint which also runs the 4.15.0 kernel.

(5 stars)Worked instantly and perfectly with Win10 T.P.
I purchased this to upgrade my laptop that had 10/100 Ethernet. Later, I installed Win10 Tech Preview on my desktop, and the Intel driver for the I218v gigabit Ethernet adapter wasn't compatible. Dug this adapter out of a drawer, plugged it in to USB3, and instantly had gigabit Ethernet. It's a great performer - I'm impressed all over again. Thanks, StarTech!
